A. Speaking in tongues is real. In Acts 2, at the day of Pentecost, all of the people were speaking in tongues, but at the time there were "cloven tongues of fire" that sat on their head. However I think most people who try tongues today are not doing it like they did in Acts. It also says all the people were in one accord.

How come Jesus and his family forgot to provide his own tomb rather than relying on Joseph of Arimathea?
Q. After all, the death of Jesus was hardly unexpected because Jesus and God had been planning it for ages. Was this just an incidental oversight?

A. You need to read the Bible. It was prophesied in Isaiah that he would not 9 He died being reckoned as wicked, and buried in a rich man's tomb Though he had done no violence, nor was deceitful as some did assume .

Why was Jesus allowed to come back 3 days after his crucifixion?
Q. I understand Jesus died for our sins on the cross. God (Father) turned away from the ugly sight of Jesus who was tainted with sins at that instance. Since Jesus took the place of a sacrificial lamb which has traditionally been the atonement for sins, why then was Jesus allowed to return to Earth from Hell? How could 3 days of hell be enough to appease God of all the world's sins and future sins that were bore upon a single sacrifice?

A. Well, science has proved that on average, a body takes about four days to begin its' rate of decay into dust. Since it was prophesied that Jesus' flesh "...would not see corruption (decay)..." I can only assume that that was why He arose after three days. If you recall, when Jesus resurrected Lazarus, he (Lazarus) had been dead FOUR days and Mary (Lazarus' sister) was quoted as saying "Surely he stinketh (from decay)..." The reason Lazarus "saw decay" was that he was MORTAL and that his resurrection was a show of God's power over the grave. How could everyone miraculously believe Jesus was the messiah after he rose from the dead?
Q. Think about it. The jews of today still don't believe he was the messiah. Why would they then? They have always held onto their beliefs that Jesus wasn't the messiah. So, who was Jesus supposed to have convinced of his authenticity? Only other people in the area at the time were the Romans.

A. That's why Paul took the revamped, pagan-influenced version of that religion to the Gentiles, where they welcomed it. Jesus was one of many proclaimed "messiahs" of that era who simply failed to fulfill the Jewish prophecies, period.

A. I am old, and so far I have yet to meet a WHITE man nor a BLACK man. Both colors cease to exist in the coloration of humanity. The only true fact that we need to know is that we are HUMAN, and created in God's own image. Just as a spirit is no more white nor black, neither is it pretty or ugly, man nor woman. It is our "self" and a "being" that goes beyond any earthly bodily form. God doesn't mention skin coloration for a reason... it's irrelevant!

A. Allah says in the Quran that Jesus did not die on the cross, but it was "made to appear to them so." And it is simply the most AMAZING thing that if you study the biblical evidence, it supports this theory!!! If you piece together the entire Bible Cruci-fiction narrative, you find over two dozen clues that Jesus may have escaped dying on the cross without the knowledge of his crucifiers. You must read this study by world famous Muslim bible scholar Ahmed Deedat who shows what really happened to Jesus. It is fascinating.

When Jesus fed thousands by multiplying the bread and fish, did he create new matter into the universe?
Q. When Jesus performed the miracles of multiplying bread and fish twice in the Bible, did he create new matter into the Universe, or just converted existing matter in the Universe into the bread and fish. Also, would the gravity of the earth and the Universe have changed if Jesus created new matter in the Universe?
Asked by KingofClay - Mon Aug 2 03:21:42 2010 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. This is something I've half wondered about before. How exactly did these miracles, and others, happen? Physically speaking, how? As the disciples were giving out bread, at what point did the new bread appear? Did it even "appear"? It's an unsatisfying answer, I know, but ultimately the Bible does not say so we do not know. They were miracles, and so of course the natural 'laws' of physics that we know were obviously not 'followed' at that specific time (that's why it was a miracle).

A. There is no verse that says pray directly to Jesus. In fact, Jesus himself said when you pray pray in this way "Our Father, which art... - Matthew 6:9. However, Jesus did say to ask to God in His name (John 14:13-14; 15:16; 16:23-26) However, it isn't unsafe to assume that one can converse with Jesus as His Creator (John 1:1-3,19), but Christ specifically said to make requests to the Father alone. No one else. For there's no other name under heaven whereby man can be saved (Acts 4:12)
